Getting to Lecce from Rome
If you are arriving at Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO), you have two main options to reach Lecce:
By Car: You can rent a car directly at the airport. The drive to Lecce takes approximately 5 hours and 30 minutes. It is a straightforward drive via the A14 motorway, perfect if you wish to explore more of Puglia during your stay.
By Train:
- 1. First, take the Leonardo Express shuttle train from Fiumicino Airport to Roma Termini station (a 32-minute non-stop journey, departing every 15 minutes).
- 2. From Roma Termini, you can take a high-speed train (Frecciarossa) directly to Lecce. The train journey from Rome to Lecce takes about 5 hours and 30 minutes.

Getting to Lecce from Naples
If your arrival airport is Naples Capodichino (NAP), you have three convenient ways to reach Lecce:
By Car: Renting a car at the airport is the most flexible option. The drive to Lecce takes approximately 4 hours and 15 minutes (via the A16 and A14 motorways).
By Bus (Direct): This is often the most practical public transport option. Direct buses (such as Flixbus or Itabus) depart from the Metropark terminal, located right next to Napoli Centrale railway station. The journey takes about 5 to 6 hours.
To get to the station from the airport, take the Alibus shuttle (a 15-20 minute trip).
By Train:
- 1. Take the Alibus shuttle from the airport to Napoli Centrale railway station.
- 2. From Napoli Centrale, you can take a train to Lecce. Most journeys require a change at Caserta or Foggia, with a total travel time of approximately 5 to 6 hours.

Getting to Lecce from Bari:
If you are arriving at Bari Palese Airport (BRI), you have two main options to reach Lecce:
By Car: You can rent a car directly at the airport. The drive to Lecce takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. It is a straightforward drive via the A16 motorway, perfect if you wish to explore more of Puglia during your stay.
By Train
The airport is directly connected to the railway network, making this the most efficient choice.
Step 1 (From the airport to Bari Centrale): Follow the signs for the Train Station inside the terminal. Take the Ferrotramviaria train (yellow or gray line), which will take you to Bari Centrale in about 15 minutes.
Step 2 (From Bari Centrale to Lecce): Once you arrive at Bari Centrale, change platforms and take a Trenitalia train (Frecciarossa, Intercity, or Regional) toward Lecce.
Total Duration: Approximately 1 hours and 40 minutes, depending on connection times.

Getting to Lecce from Brindisi:
If you are arriving at Brindisi Airport (BDS), you have two main options to reach Lecce:
By Car: You can rent a car directly at the airport. The drive to Lecce takes approximately 30 minutes. It is a straightforward drive via the A16 motorway, perfect if you wish to explore more of Puglia during your stay.
By Train (Via Brindisi Centrale)
If you prefer the train, you must first reach the main train station in the city of Brindisi.
Step 1: Take the local circular bus that connects the airport to Brindisi Centrale station (the trip takes about 10–15 minutes).
Step 2: From Brindisi Centrale station, take a train toward Lecce. There are numerous regional, Intercity, and high-speed trains departing every hour.
Duration: The train ride itself takes about 25–30 minutes.

Uber Black

A note on UBER
While you may be used to various ride-sharing options, please be aware that in the Puglia region, Uber Black is the only available service from the Uber app. Standard UberX or Uber Pop services do not operate in this area. Uber Black provides high-end, professional drivers with luxury vehicles. For local trips within the city or shorter distances, traditional taxis are also available, but we always recommend booking your transfers in advance to ensure availability during the wedding season.

PARKING & ACCESS in LECCE
The ceremony will take place at the beautiful Basilica di Santa Croce in the heart of the historic center of Lecce.
Please note that the basilica is inside a restricted traffic zone (ZTL), so cars cannot drive directly to it.
We recommend leaving your car in one of the parking areas just outside the restricted zone and walking a few minutes to the Basilica.
Main parking options:
– Piazza Mazzini – public paid street parking (approx. 175 spaces)
– Viale Università – public paid street parking (approx. 70 spaces)
– Via Adua – municipal paid parking (near the ZTL)
– Ex Foro Boario – municipal interchange parking (about 200 spaces), approx. 15 minutes’ walk from the Basilica
